Doug was hooked on water sports at an early age. His parents installed an in-ground pool and owned several ski boats when he was growing up. He spent two months in the summers of ’77 and ‘78 at Camp Morehead in North Carolina sailing, swimming and snorkeling which solidified his love of all things water (watching “Aquaman”, “Marine Boy” and “Westwind” probably made an impression as well). Certified in the ‘80’s, Doug dove frequently for many years until life got in the way. He jumped back in when his son began diving with the Boy Scouts. Since earning his Pro status in 2011, Doug has progressively advanced through the PADI, SSI and DAN teaching ranks. He thoroughly enjoys teaching other divers and traveling around the world, seeking out adventurous locations to explore, dive and sail. His favorite type of diving is wall, drift and wreck in a Sidemount configuration. Doug’s favorite dive spots at the moment are the crystal clear blue waters of Turks & Caicos, Bonaire and the Exumas.
Fun fact about Doug, he played the Viola for 13 years.
Doug’s thoughts on diving are simple, “You can never dive enough!”

Wil received his scuba certification as a Boy Scout when his Troop began their push to participate in all of the BSA High Adventure Camps in North America. Wil loves the outdoors, hiking, sailing and especially scuba diving. Wil joined the PRO ranks when he turned 18 and went through the Divemaster program with his father. Wil has been on several liveaboard dive vacations and loves the one-time set-up of his gear. He loves to teach and assist with classes. He is a calming presence in the water and is so calm that he was banned from being Divemaster Candidate buddies for gear exchange skills! Wil loves Wall and Wreck Diving, especially in Sidemount!
Wil is an accomplished, self taught guitarist and singer. He was a member of 3 different bands in high school and played the “9:30 Club” in DC for the local Battle of the Bands finals competition as a senior.

Meg became her daughter’s dive buddy in 2012 after earning her Open Water certification. She then advanced through specialties, earned Advanced Open Water, Rescue and Master Scuba Diver. She completed her Divemaster in 2014, and says it was one of the most challenging, fun and rewarding things she’s ever done. Meg enjoys working as an assistant and teaching Scuba Reviews. Meg’s favorite place to dive is Bonaire and she LOVES Sidemount diving (and sometimes Monkey diving!) She is a lefty, which makes demonstrating skills to students a little challenging sometimes! Meg’s philosophy on the sport; “Diving is more than just a hobby or sport to me…it’s a way of life!”

Maggie was certified with her mother in 2012 after seeing all of the fun her father and brother were having. Maggie caught the underwater photography bug and is an accomplished shutterbug. She has created her own brand for her pictures, “MooFoto”. Many of her photos are on our website. She has taken many specialties and is often her father’s guinea pig for new classes he is newly certified to teach. Maggie is planning to go PRO in 2017 as part of her grand plan for her future. She is a skilled young chef and will attend culinary school upon graduating from high school. Her future goal is to crew on Super Yachts as a chef, take photos and be a Divemaster while onboard. Maggie loves to explore and travel anywhere a boat, plane or car can take her. Her favorite place to dive is anywhere there is warm water and plenty of subject matter for her photography. She has played Club and High School Volleyball since the 6th grade as well as sung in the choir. Wherever the wind or road takes Maggie no doubt she will play a pickup set here and there and will be singing all the time.
