Charters, Trips, Scuba and Safety Course Scheduling
The Scheduling of Charters, Scuba and Safety courses is at the discretion of Compass Dive and Sail. Our availability is published on our website for each charter destination and course offering.
Charter Surcharges and Incidentals
SERENITY Charters include many complimentary services. However, due to ever present rising costs of fuel, a fuel surcharge will be added to each charter based on the number of days booked and collected at the time of booking. Each charter booking is a Captained only charter and does not include provisions. You may upgrade your charter to include provisioning if desired. Provisioning can be ordered and picked up prior to your arrival and will be charged to you at actual cost plus delivery charges. If you desire, you may bring your own provisions at the time of boarding. Please ensure that you plan to provision for all members of your party and the Captain.
Crew Tips & Gratuities
The crew of SERENITY do their best to provide the utmost attention to detail in all aspects of your charter, dive vacation, dive training experience and strive each day to provide you with an enjoyable vacation experience. Tips and gratuities for the crew are not a requirement, but if you receive service that you feel was above and beyond, tips are greatly appreciated.
Interruptions to Charters, Trips, Scuba, and Safety Courses
Delays and interruptions to SERENITY Charters, Dive Trips and Courses as a result of weather, medical/guest family emergencies, or illness, may occur for reasons outside of Compass Dive and Sail control. Compass Dive and Sail makes every effort to ensure that a charter, trip, or course offering is started and completed during the time the offering is scheduled and for which the customer has paid. In poor weather conditions which make moving the sailboat hazardous or unsafe for the passengers, crew or boat, movement of the boat will not be undertaken under any circumstances. While it is our intention to take our passengers on the charter for which they have paid, we must maintain safety as our number one priority, for our passengers as well as our crew. If a charter begins and weather conditions deteriorate to a point where a return to our seasonal home marina is required, that action will be taken by the captain and the details conveyed to the primary charter guest.

Compass Dive and Sail does not provide refunds on charters, dive travel trips, or scuba courses resulting in partial or total trip loss, delays, or shortened travel due to medical emergencies or other medical issues experienced by a guest, diver, or non-diver.
